Health and Fitness

Isaiah 40:29-31

He gives power to the faint, abundant strength to the weak. Though young men faint and grow weary, and youths stagger and fall, they that hope in the LORD will renew their strength, they will soar on eagles’ wings; They will run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint.”

God will help you and reward your fitness efforts, if they are done in His service and not out of vanity or selfishness. Put your trust in God, and He will guide you.

The Fijian Community Association supports and encourages all it's members and Fijians at large to participate in organised sports to help them keep fit and healthy.

The KVT Volleyball team is playing every Monday at the Gilson College, 450 Taylors Road, Taylors Hill. The team is now fielding 2 teams, a mixed team and a men's team in the competition. Games for mixed team always commences at around 6:30pm to 7:30pm while the men's team plays at around 7:30pm to 8:30pm.

If you love volleyball or you are looking for a sport to play to help you keep in shape and improve your health, join the ladies and men who are now converging at Gilson College every Monday evening. You are encouraged to bring your families and make this a family time where kids can come and cheer their mums and dads as they sweat it out at the Courts.

The team's uniform is white tops and black shorts. All players are also asked to contribute for the $25 fee to enable them to play every Monday. We are calling for potential players to join the team as the men's team that take to the courts today were short of one player. Former Raiwaqa volleyball star, Tony Lagicere could not make it due to work commitments.

Interested players can contact Eddie Vakarewakobau on phone 0468933579.
