The Fijian Government is now pleading with all Fiji Citizens living overseas to take this opportunity and get to the Voter Registration venues in the second round of registration after requests was made by those who have missed out in registration conducted earlier. Fijians need to have a say in the the coming election and that is why it is important that they register.

Even Opposition Leader Mr Sitiveni Ligamamada Rabuka is pleading to all Fijians living overseas to go to registration venues and register. In his plea to those in the US, this is what he had to say:

Voter registration in the US will start on the 16th of this month, if you haven't registered please do go and register. Mark the time, date and venue nearest to you and don't miss out.
1. If You are registering for the first time please bring your Fiji
Passport or your Certificate of Citizenship
2. The following services will also be carried out on the day:
a. Replacement of lost or damaged cards
b. Update of Voter details
c. Inform FEO officials of any deceased voters
